DALLAS –
“Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield were good men, great heroes and priceless reasons why we need to fight against Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Over the past couple of days, we have learned how supportive and influential our friends in the media can be, which is why we want to ask for your help and understanding.
“The FITCO Cares Foundation Heroes Project has both a vigilant passion to help combat veterans struggling with PTSD, and a forthright duty and responsibility to uphold wishes from their families and the traditions of the U.S. Navy SEAL community. Moreover, we support the right to provide them that honor. Both groups have asked us to honor the memory of the men in silence first, then following their funerals in a couple of weeks, the mission aloud.
“The need for awareness about PTSD is almost as important as the brave men and women who return from combat living with it. Chris knew this, was passionate about helping those with it, and following his procession, we intend to carry that legacy to fight it. And, we need everyone’s help to do it.
“At that time, the FITCO Cares Foundation Heroes Project will begin discussing this important cause nationally and hope we can count on our friends and supporters across the country to make Chris’ dream a reality. We will remain authentic and morally sound to our mission supporting veterans and their families, which is why the duty and obligation to Chris’ and Chad’s family is so important at this time.
“We thank you for your patience, understanding and commitment to serve when it counts. Until then, our thoughts, prayers and efforts are focused on the families and their needs. God bless you all.”
